A building is a building is a building

This interpretation reflects the idea that architecture is a universal human need. Inspired by Gertrude Stein’s “A rose is a rose is a rose,” we use this repetition to suggest that a building is simply a building unless it is given meaning or purpose beyond its physical structure—as we are trying to do with this house. Our house speaks to you, listens, stays connected, challenging both us and you, our guests, to think about what makes a building meaningful and future-proof.
Buildings like ours help promote innovative, sustainable architecture and climate action—reducing carbon footprints in construction and operation.
